I went back to 2006 K12 Online Conference and viewed A journey through the Dark. What a great video. It really gets you thinking about the obstacles in the educators path and how as true teachers we need never to stop learning and to push ourselves to our maxium levels, after all we do except that from our students don’t we? Very well worth my time as a person new to technology in the classroom. I recognized everything technological he was talking about- Yea!!!! and this really excites me. Now, when my children come home and tell me they created a Wiki, or a blog or even a podcast, I will have some knowledge of understanding of what they are talking about. Next, I visited the 2008 conference and viewed A week in the Classroom. Wow! It was really great to see all that we are learning in one teachers classroom. It motivates me ( just a little) to want to get back into the classroom and begin teaching again. I can see how easy it could be to include this in your classroom with a some formal training. I do love the idea of Wiki’s in the classroom. I believe Wiki’s are a great way to communicate to parents, grandparents, administration and fellow teachers about what is going on in your classroom. This will definitely something I will use if I ever go back to the classroom.
